Wedding albums and photographic prints — Wedding photographer
Decide whether you need a complete album design, prints from selected images or replacement copies of an existing product. Supply files you are entitled to use and identify sizes, quantities and recipient deadlines. Review a proof carefully, including cropping, names and page order, before authorising production.
Service scope
Wedding album and print services turn an agreed set of photographs into physical products through selection, layout, proofing and production. Image-use permission, source-file quality, paper or material choices and approval of names and page order are part of the commission, not automatic consequences of an earlier shoot.
What is normally included
- Image selection and album-layout preparation
- Paper and product specification
- Proof review before production
- Ordering and delivery of agreed physical products
What is not included
- Automatic rights to reproduce another photographer's work
- Guaranteed colour identity across all media
- Unlimited redesign after production approval
Typical tasks
- Check the selected files and intended reproduction
- Develop an album or print specification
- Prepare layouts and crops
- Obtain approval of proofs
- Arrange production and delivery
What to include in your brief
- Image source and reproduction permission
- Album or print sizes
- Product quantities and materials
- Layout and text preferences
- Approval contact and delivery deadline
Choosing the right professional
Ask to see representative physical materials or sample products and understand the proof process. Compare included design revisions, production lead times and delivery protection. A screen preview is useful, but discuss how print appearance and cropping will be checked rather than expecting identical results on every device.
Important considerations
- Low-resolution files may limit practical print size
- Unchecked text or crops can become permanent production errors
- Reproduction rights may not match the requested use
